Grand Knight Message for February 2010

Dear Brother Knights and Sister Columbiettes:          

As we see that it is getting tougher on our economy and people are having harder times than ever, please remember to keep them in your prayers. Our Catholic faith is very important to all of us, and also very powerful in making things seem a little bit better. Sometimes your family, friends, neighbors and even strangers need guidance from time to time and you should be there for that support. New Year's Eve celebration was a blast and everybody had a great time with the food and the entertainment. Thanks to Henry Hurtle, PGK and his committee the night was a complete success. I would like to thank Tom McGowan, PGK for his continued support in running the "Right to Life" Bus trip to St. Patrick's Cathedral. We had two full buses of members from our council and the district and the Fourth Degree Honor Guard as well. Tom, thank you for a job well done. Don't forget that all of our pictures from the events that we hold are on our website at www.kofc2852.org as well as information of what's going on in the council February is a busy month fraternally for our council; we host a District Deputy meeting; a Second Degree on our business meeting night and at the end of the month a Third Degree. Please see the Clarion calendar for details. The Columbiettes are having a Valentine's Day Dinner Dance on Sunday, February 14th see the details in the Clarion. A strong show of our support would be appreciated. Calling all volunteers: we need you to help us keep our council strong; don't hesitate to ask any officers or myself to see what you can do. To all of my Brother Knights ~ make sure you take care of that special person in your life on Valentine's Day!
