Columbiette President Message for October 2007

Dear Sister Columbiettes,

For those of you who could not make September’s meeting we had nominations for the officers for the Columbian Year 2007-2008:

            The delegates and alternatives to the Chapter and Convention are the same as listed in last months Clarion.

            Thank you ladies for stepping up and assuring at least one more year of the NHP Columbiettes. God Bless you all. Also, thanks to our Grand Knight Henry Hurtle for installing our new officers. Good job! Our District Deputy this year is our own Emma Marini, PP and our coordinator is again, Guy Taliercio.  

Please remember our First Degree will be just before our October 3^rd meeting. We would like to start promptly at 7:30 PM. Sister Columbiettes and sponsors please try to attend this meeting and welcome the new members. By having the degree before the meeting our new members will have the opportunity to attend their first meeting on that night.

On November 7^th we will again have a Harvest Basket fundraiser. Please bring any donations of food, paper products, baskets, etc to this months meeting. This is what allows us to donate to our many charities. Most important, on Saturday, November 10^th we will be honoring Past President Joan Simonetti. Please see ad in this issue for details. Joan has dedicated the last two years to our organization and I would like to see a full house to honor all her efforts and achievements in service to us. Please make every effort to attend.

This year our auxiliary is hosting the Major Degree on Wednesday, November 28^th. This will make it very convenient for our new members to make their degree without traveling to another auxiliary. We welcome all Columbiettes and Third Degree Knights to attend this most impressive ceremony.

On Wednesday, December 5^th we will again have our Members Only Christmas Party. Since we do not have a vice president we hope all our members will give of their time and talent to make this event a success as in the past. More details to follow next month.

Just a reminder, support our Brother Knights by sending in your C&B books if you have not already done so. Keep in your prayers our sick and deceased members, our service men and women around the world, our politicians and our Country. God Bless America.
