BINGO!

As our Bingo year drew to an end (November 20th was our last Bingo night prior to the holidays) we felt it would be proper to update everyone as to how the year has gone, in terms of success.

We always consider the year successful if we have made significant contributions to charity throughout the year; this has been accomplished so far this year with the holiday contributions still to come. Christmas charity, as always, is the most significant so we will wait for those figures and then inform you of the totals for the year.

However, we would be remiss in not noting how Bingo's success is accomplished. Bingo is a success due to the diligence, dedication and hard work of those who show up every week and make it a success, as well as those who do so each month. We certainly appreciate the Sister Columbiettes for their dedication in the functions of the kitchen and those who sell the paper supplies. Without them we would be in trouble. And without the Brother Knights who are with us week in and week out; there would be no Bingo. We owe them all, Sisters and Brothers, lots of thanks!

Now, having said that, are there any of you - Sister Columbiettes and Brother Knights - who still have not volunteered for Bingo, who may wish to do so now? After all, it would be nice if we could relieve those who come to Bingo every week, once in a while. Actually, working Bingo has become a nice evening out for many of us as the comradeship among the workers is wonderful.

Perhaps, you would like to join us? If so come down any Thursday night after 5 PM and introduce yourself to any of the workers who will put you in touch with a Bingo Captain.
